Its Daddy Time!

"Someone" has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Only this little punch-kin could get him to get out of bed at 5:30 am - to buy clothes and hair accessories for her - to drive her around - to feed her and take her on walks. And she's loving every minute of it too... They are official "bottle buddies" during football games, and she loves snuggling with him and having him make her laugh.

Cheers for good dads; McNugget has one of the best.

McNugget meets the Godfather

McNugget has finally met her Uncle David... er, I mean "the Godfather". :) How tiny does she look now!?

McNugget Mondays - Week 11

She'll be 11 weeks old tomorrow, and is now sleeping through the night! That started this weekend, coinsiding with her first cold (thank you daycare). She's suprisingly happy still- our little trooper. She's also actually watching TV and computer screens now. This week she looks like me, though last week she looked more like her daddy. :) I love my little punch-kin!

Arts & Crafts - Baby Style

I won't go into the battle between staying at home with our McNugget and daycare right now... but things like this make it easier.

Here's McNugget's first two arts and crafts projects - made obviously for Halloween. The first week she decorated a pumpkin with her handprints.


And this week- the most adorable ghost you ever saw!! And don't give me any crap about never having seen a ghost... :)

This makes me excited to work on her halloween costume!

Friday Foodings

Last night's Friday foodings = homemade cheese pizza. I LOVE the dough recipe from Joy of cooking. It's cheap, easy, and delicious. Plus we always have the ingredients in our house.

McNugget Mondays - Week 10

McNugget's days are full of smiles and a few attempts at little noises. She still hates "tummy time", and loves diaper changes and waking up in the mornings (and in the middle of the night).

Being her mom is sooo much fun - and because she's always so happy, I don't even mind getting up in the middle of the night. She is fully aware of anyone new in the room, and uses her entire head to watch us now. Daycare is going really well to - she's definately the 'best' baby in the place; sleeping and eating without any problems. (Yes, I did just knock on wood after I typed that!)

Photo Highlights: Week 9

McNugget is now two months old! Changing every week, she's getting to be super active - smiling all the time and starting to follow your face with her whole head. She notices when something or someone new is in the room, and she's starting to be more verbal. I don't know where two months have gone! This past week she started sleeping at 6 hour clips at night - double eating between 5-6, falling asleep around 7pm, then waking between 10-11 for another feeding and - get this- sleeping until about 4:45 am! We get only a few more hours of sleep after that, and wake up so very happy. The mornings are the best, she's the most cheerful and alert now. For me, this was the first week where I got to actually go running!

Photo Highlights: Week 8

McNugget's 7 weeks old now - and spending a lot more time awake than asleep. We're still working on the schedule, and I'm not looking forward to leaving her to going back to work next week, but that's the way it goes. I'm so glad to have had all this time to spend with her - and am absolutly loving being a mom. The good news is that the heat broke (this summer is the hottest summer on record!) and we're able to walk with the dogs a lot now.
