McNugget & Me In Our Third Trimester

Well, its finally here. The third trimester. The time when my balance is going to be topsy-turvey and I'm going to be bloated and often in pain. Hooray! It also means that its almost time to meet our mcNugget; only 13 more weeks to go!!

The past 2 weeks or so have been hard for me to sleep - not really because of discomfort, but really because of the strange insomnia I'm getting from 2-4 am. Then there's the fact that I am starting to have trouble tying my shoes (though I still can), and everyone (even the special olympics athletes I volunteer with, who, by the way, often don't even notice if their own swim-suit is falling down) can tell I'm full-on pregnant.

I still have mad energy during the day - which thanks to this darned internal training clock - starts at 6:30 or earlier now. Also, I guess I'm getting into my nesting phase. This weekend was chock-full of weeding, gardening and cleaning - and now my house looks ah-mazing. :) The bed has been made, the bathroom was cleaned, the laundry was washed, and there aren't any dishes on the kitchen counter. The only thing I really still need to do there is cave and buy a real vacuum. (Boo to spending our money on expensive, un-fun purchases!)

I guess I over-did it with the cleaning and gardening and bending though, because Saturday was robby-rotten for sleep, and every muscle and bone in my body still hurts. We've ordered our baby's room rug (more to come when it arrives this week) and I've ironed the curtains there. This morning I went and got my glucose screenings - and I'm crossing my fingers that it comes back in the normal range. I'm seriously loving this baby and me time, which will be even better when the little mcNugget is here and in my arms instead of my belly!
