My company just gave us these coffee mugs (with our own company logo obviously) for Earth Day. I'm excited for two reasons - one, I've never had a glass coffee mug- and two, they are finally starting to 'get it' about the environment. I'm the girl who turns off the lights every time I leave my office, dusts with a washable micro-fiber cloth and prints about 6 sheets of paper a month. They've even started a green committee at work to help other employees 'get it'! Sure, this could all be an evil corporate ploy to save some money, but I fully support it if it means a cleaner, greener earth.
This week, my planned environmentally friendly activities include:
- Filling up my brand new compost bin!
- Using my new work coffee mug instead of paper cups
- Making (or attempting to make) homemade granola bars with my friend
- Make washable dinner napkins so we can reduce / eliminate our paper napkins
- Walk (instead of drive) to two places this week (church, work, library, etc.)
